Courseware
Lincoln Interactive brings together a unique blend of teachers, administrators, graphic artists, and programmers to create dynamic curricula. The online delivery of our courses allows for the inclusion of rich media, varied and frequent assessments, and differentiated instruction from highly qualified teacher facilitators.
Many of our 250+ online courses consist of core curriculum subjects for grades K-12 including mathematics, science, English, social studies, and health and physical education in addition to a variety of elective courses. Most courses are derived from current publications and textbooks but are organized and delivered based on Lincoln Interactive criteria and state standards. In addition, some courses are textbook-free, meaning all course materials are housed online within each lesson.
Lincoln Interactive courses are designed to support both asynchronous and synchronous delivery methods. In an asynchronous environment, courses are available at any time (24/7), and students may self-pace their progress. Lessons are designed to be completed in approximately 90 school days (18-20 weeks), with a commitment of approximately 2-3 hours per lesson or one hour a day per course. Some students choose to move rapidly through the course, while others may choose to take their time. A teacher facilitator is provided to assist students who may have questions about course material within each lesson.
When Lincoln Interactive courses are used for synchronous delivery, it means that the course is monitored or paced by an instructor in "real-time," or at an assigned time. An example of synchronous delivery is the use of a course for a virtual classroom that meets online at a given hour each day with a teacher assigned to that time period. Synchronous delivery of a Lincoln Interactive course can also be used within a traditional school setting with a staff member providing the pacing and monitoring of the course in a time slot assigned by the school's administration.
